CONTRACT relates to the PURCHASE, SUPPLY & DELIVERANCE
of the ENTERTAINMENT / ENTERTAINER(S) described
within this Document & agreed to by the participants
for the Date and times specified. |

The
ENGAGER hereby enters a commitment to HIRE the ARTIST(S)
to perform the engagement as specified within this
CONTRACT adhering to the terms and conditions stated
herein and including those entitled "Additional
Terms and Conditions"The ARTIST(S) hereby enters
a commitment with the ENGAGER via DOUBLE ACTS to
perform as specified within this CONTRACT adhering
to the terms and conditions stated herein and including
those entitled "Additional Terms and Conditions"

It
is the responsibility of the ENGAGER to take all
necessary steps by way of stipulation in booking
or providing the venue for the engagement and to
ensure liability of safe supply of electricity,
all Licence's and relevant permissions including
Health & Safety requirements to enable the Event
to take place as outlined with this CONTRACT. |
The
use of Pyrotechnics and other Special Effects including
the Application of Licence's will be the responsibility
of ENGAGER unless otherwise specified. In any event,
the use of Pyrotechnics and other Special Effects
during the ARTIST(S) Performance must be previously
agreed to by the ARTIST(S) and DOUBLE ACTS. In any
case, no responsibility will be liable to DOUBLE
ACTS for any Injury Claims relating to the use of
such Pyrotechnics and other Special Effects unless
commissioned through DOUBLE ACTS. |
| Adequate
& Acucurate Promotional materials in the form
of current photos, testimonials and Music samples
to be supplied by ARTISTS's to DOUBLE ACTS and
passed on to ENGAGERS. |
| All
electrical equipment used to have current PAT (Portable
Appliance Test) Certificates. |
| It
is strongly advised for ARTIST(S) and bands to have
valid and current Public Liability Insurance. Likewise,
ENGAGERS should ensure relevant insurances
and that the venue has a current Pub;ic Entertainments
Licence. more... |
In
the event of cancellation of Performance prior to
Engagement by the ARTIST(S) due to illness, injury,
sickness, accidents, riots, strikes, epidemics,
acts of God, or any other legitimate conditions
beyond their control, DOUBLE ACTS will endeavor
to replace the Booked ARTIST(S) in agreement with
the ENGAGER with similar or alternative ARTIST(S)
at current rates.
DOUBLE
ACTS also reserves the right to pass any claims
for compensation by the ENGAGER due to the ARTIST(S)
failure to fulfil this Contract for reasons relating
to the ARTIST(S) responsibilities as specified within
this CONTRACT, directly on to the ARTIST(S).

In
the event of cancellation of Performance prior to
Engagement by the ENGAGER no deposit(s) will
be returned by the ARTIST(S) or DOUBLE ACTS. DOUBLE
ACTS also reserves the right to pass any claims
for compensation by the ARTIST(S) due to the ENGAGER'S
failure to fulfil this CONTRACT for reasons relating
to the ENGAGER(S) responsibilities as specified
within this CONTRACT, directly on to the ENGAGER.
It is generally agreed that in the event of cancellation
at a period of 1 month before scheduled performance
the ENGAGER will pay 50% of performance fee to the
ARTIST. If cancelled within 2 weeks of perforamnce
the ENGAGER shall pay the Contract price in full. |
The ARTIST(S) will ensure good transport arrangements
and agrees to ensure appropriate Membership cover
of a suitable Motor Agency such as "AA" or "RAC"
to ensure against transport failure on route to
event. |
It
is agreed by both parties to this contract that
equipment and instruments of the musicians performing
the engagement are not available for use by other
performers or persons except by specific permission
of the musicians concerned. |
Band members and personnel should refrain from eating
or drinking on the premises of all private parties
unless invited to do so by ENGAGER. No guests of
ARTIST(S) are permitted without the consent of the
ENGAGER. |
THE ENGAGER shall at all times have complete supervision,
direction, and control over the services of ARTIST(S)
on this engagement and expressly reserves the right
to control the manner, means, and details of the
performance of the services by ARTIST(S). |
MEMBERS
OF UNIONS OR GUILDS, which may include leader and
members of this unit, agree to accept sole responsibility
for complying with the rules and regulations of
said unions or guilds of which they may be members. |
If
the ARTIST(S) is rebooked into this Venue or any
establishment represented by the ENGAGER (including
chain buyers of music and/or entertainment) within
12 months from the fulfillment of this Agreement
the ENGAGER and ARTIST(S) shall be jointly and severally
liable for payment to DOUBLE ACTS for commission
in the rate set forth in this CONTRACT. |
ADDITIONAL

THIS CONTRACT constitutes a binding agreement between
DOUBLE ACTS, the ARTIST(S) and the ENGAGER. DOUBLE
ACTS and its employees act only as agent, consultant
or manager, and as such DOUBLE ACTS can assume no
responsibility or liability to any grievence
or claims arising between the ENGAGER and the
ARTIST(S). |
This
Agreement may not be modified or cancelled except
by mutual consent, in writing and signed by all
parties. Any such modification or cancellation shall
not prejudice the right to payment of the ARTIST(S)
or DOUBLE ACTS by the ENGAGER as specified within
this CONTRACT. |
THIS
CONTRACT BECOMES VALID & LEGALY BINDING UPON
SIGNING OF PARTICIPANTS & PAYMENT OF DEPOSIT
AS SPECIFIED.
